This site is run by Nizar Aouatif, an independent English teacher in Marrakech. This page explains in plain language what information nizar.ma collects, why, and what you can do about it. If anything isn’t clear, write to contact@nizar.ma and I’ll reply personally.

What I collect

When you fill out a form

The contact form is built with WPForms. When you submit it, I receive the information you entered, usually your name, email address, and message, along with the page you wrote from. This information reaches me by email and I keep it in my inbox so I can reply to you.

When you create a student account

Courses run on Tutor LMS. If you sign up, an account is created on this site with your name, email address, username, an encrypted password, the courses you’ve taken, your progress, and your quiz results. Your progress is visible to you in your space and to me as your teacher. No one else has access to it.

When you leave a comment

Comments on posts record the name, email, and website you provide, plus your IP address and browser, used by WordPress to filter spam. Your name and comment are public. Your email is not.

When you’re just browsing

This site uses Google Analytics via the Site Kit plugin to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. This data is aggregated and statistical. I use it to decide what to write next, not to identify anyone. Google Search Console is also connected and shows me the searches that lead here.

The host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs including IP addresses and request times, used for security and troubleshooting.

When you message me on WhatsApp

The WhatsApp buttons on the site open a conversation with my number. That exchange happens on WhatsApp and is governed by their own terms, not this site’s. I keep these conversations to remember what we discussed about your studies.

Cookies

• Necessary cookies. If you log in as a student, WordPress sets cookies to remember your login. They last two days, or two weeks if you check “remember me.”
• Comment cookies. If you comment, WordPress may save your name, email, and website in a cookie to save you retyping them. They last one year and are optional.
• Measurement cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. You can block them in your browser or with a blocker; the site will work normally.

What I don’t do

• I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone.
• I don’t display any advertising on this site, so no ad network tracks you here.
• I don’t send marketing emails to people who haven’t asked for them.
• I don’t store any banking data. Payment is arranged directly between us.

Who else sees your data

Only the services that run the site: Hostinger, which hosts it; Google, for Analytics and Search Console; and my email provider, which receives the forms. Each has its own privacy policy. I don’t share anything beyond that, except where legally required.

Retention period

• Messages and inquiries: kept while we’re in touch and for up to 2 years after, in case you come back.
• Student accounts and progress: kept as long as your account exists, so you can pick up your courses. Deleted on request.
• Comments: kept so conversations stay readable, unless you request deletion.
• Statistics: kept by Google per their standard retention period. They aren’t linked to your name.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to have it all deleted. Write to contact@nizar.ma and I’ll act within 30 days. Deleting your student account also deletes your progress, and this is irreversible.

If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian’s consent before creating an account or sending me your information.

Security

The site runs on HTTPS, so what you enter is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. No site can promise perfect security, but if a breach ever affected your data, I would tell you directly rather than quietly.

Changes

If I add a tool that changes what’s collected, I’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
